BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s girls’ varsity soccer team swept two games this week to remain unbeaten and unscored upon on the season.

Last Friday, the Mallards blanked the West Nottingham Academy, 3-0, in their first game since September 28. Worcester led 2-0 at the half and added a second half goal to complete the 3-0 shutout.

On Monday in the Pink Game at home commemorating breast cancer awareness month, the Mallards shut out visiting Gunston, 7-0, to keep the streak going. Worcester jumped all over the Herons early and led 4-0 at the half before adding three second half goals to close out the game.

With the pair of wins, the Mallards’ record now stands at a perfect 8-0 and they have yet to yield a goal all season. They have outscored their opponents all season by a combined 35-0. Worcester aces old rival Saints Peter and Paul at home on Friday in the regular season finale and the Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference (ESIAC) playoffs get underway next week.
