Red Hot Seahawk Golfers Win Season Finale

BERLIN- After clinching the Bayside South championship earlier last week, Stephen Decatur’s varsity golf team added icing to the cake on Thursday with an impressive win in the regular season finale at Nutter’s Crossing.

With unseasonably hot temperatures persisting in the area, the golfers in last Thursday’s regular season-ending match at Nutter’s Crossing were equally as hot with five golfers shooting in the 30s for nine holes. Bennett’s Savannah Scott turned in the low card on the day with a 36, and Bennett teammate shot a 39.

However, just as they have been also season, the Seahawks were up to the challenge against the Clippers. Three Seahawks shot in the 30s last week at Nutter’s Crossing including a 37 by Emily Malinowski and a pair of 38s by Brady Leonard and Hayden Snelsire to secure the team win for Decatur.
