Decatur Golfers Capture Bayside South Title

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity golf team cruised to the Bayside South championship last week with a decisive win over runner-up Bennett at Green Hill.

The Seahawks shot a team-low 169 to secure the Bayside South title. Brady Leonard led Decatur with a low score of 39 and was the medalist in the clinching victory. On Tuesday, the Seahawks continued their winning ways in the penultimate match of the regular season at Great Hope with a team-low of 165. Leonard and Emily Malinowski were co-medalists on the day with a pair of 39s. Hayden Snelsire turned in a solid 42.
