Drummond, Waters Lead 46-7 Rout For Decatur

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity football team routed Washington, 46-7, in the home opener last Thursday to improve to 2-1 on the young season.

The Seahawks rode the two-headed backfield monster London Drummond and Devin Waters in the 46-7 rout of the Jaguars, each of whom finished with multiple touchdowns for the second time this season. Drummond alone rushed for 195 yards on 16 carries including three touchdowns.

With the win, the Seahawks improved to 2-1 on the season with routs of Arcadia and Washington sandwiched around a loss to Wicomico. Things will start getting tougher for the Seahawks as they start a grueling four-game stretch against Bayside North powers this week. The Seahawks face Kent Island on the road on Friday, followed by home games against North Caroline and Queen Anne’s before hitting the road again against Easton.
