State Surfing Championships Moved To October

OCEAN CITY- The Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) Delmarva District Maryland State Championships scheduled for last weekend were postponed because of a lingering nor-easter off the coast and have been rescheduled for October 13.

The state championships were set for last Saturday on the beach at 35th Street, but heavy surf, rain and high winds forced the postponement. The state championships have been rescheduled for October 13 in the same location. Despite the postponement, the showing of Andy Irons’ documentary “Kissed by God” went off as planned last Saturday.
