BERLIN- Dozens of the top youth programs from all over the mid-Atlantic region descended on the resort area last weekend for the annual Aloha Beach Lacrosse tournament and teams from the local area took home more than their share of championship hardware.

The annual tournament was held last Saturday and Sunday at venues all over northern Worcester County including the Northern Worcester Athletic Complex, Buckingham Elementary, Berlin Intermediate School, Most Blessed Sacrament School and the Seaside Christian Academy. Representing the local area in the tournament, which featured teams from Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia, was the Saltwater Lacrosse program, a travel lacrosse club for boys in Worcester, Wicomico and Sussex counties.

The Saltwater Lacrosse club won championships in two divisions. The under-9 team coached by Ron Strickler went undefeated and won the championship in their division, while the 2023 team coached by Tom Pickard also ran the table in their division and claimed the championship.
