First Delmarva ESA Contest A Big Success

OCEAN CITY- The Eastern Surfing Association Delmarva Chapter last weekend held its first contest of the season with good conditions in the event sponsored by Chauncey’s Surf Shop.

The Delmarva ESA held the first contest of the summer-long series on the beach at 30th Street with a nice east swell of about two-to three feet with light winds and sunny, warm conditions. The contest had a great turnout with winners crowned in several different divisions.

In the open short board division, Robby Pinzhoffer was first, Mark Donohue was second, Sam Schoenfeld was third, Ben Carper was fourth, Brian Winkelbauer was fifth and Elso Quillin was sixth. In the boys’ under 14 division, Trey Winkelbauer was first and Kai Allread was second. In the boys’ under 16 division, Pinzhoffer was first, Zach Koch was second and Schoenfeld was third.

In the junior men’s division, Pinzhoffer was first, Koch was second and Schoefeld was third. Donohue was first in the men’s division. In the senior men’s division, Matt Naylor was first, Dwayne Dunlap finished second and Craig Garfield was third. Brian Winkelbauer was first in the masters division, while Jeff Phillips finished first in the grand legends division.

In the junior longboard division, Koch was first, Pinzhoffer was second, Carper was third and Schoenfeld was fourth. Dunlap finished first in the masters longboard division, followed by Garfield and Kevin Chandler. Dunlap finished first in the open body-board division.

In the girls’ under 14 division, Morgan Johnson finished first and Lily Preziosi finished second. Preziosi finished first in the girls’ under 16 division, followed by Morgan Johnson and Meara Johnson. In the junior women’s division, it was Isabella Preziosi finishing first, followed by Elsa Quillin and Meara Johnson.

Cat Volmer finished first in the women’s division, followed by Victoria Mickens in second. Qullin finished first in the junior women longboard division, followed by Isabella Preziosi. Volmer finished first in the women’s longboard division, followed by Mickens. In the Menehune longboard division, Kai Allread was first and Lily Preziosi was second.
