Maryland History Day Contest 2017 Held At UMBC

The Maryland History Day Contest 2017 was recently held at UMBC. Across Maryland, over 27,000 students competed in local History Day competitions and 700 students were selected for the state competition, including 19 students from Stephen Decatur Middle School. Eighth graders Lily Timmons, left, and PJ Venizia-Westphal, center, were awarded the Special Prize in Women’s History for their exhibit “Clara Barton: Standing Tall.”
