Mary Evelyn Moeller

OCEAN CITY – Mary Evelyn Moeller, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Catered Living in Berlin.

She was the daughter of the late Peter Shook and Pauline Healy Shook.

Mrs. Moeller is survived by her loving husband, Jim.  She is also survived by her children, Nancy Reed of Ijamsville, Md., Laura Dollerhide of The Woodlands, Texas, Bill Moeller of Potomac, Md., Rosemary Holsinger of Carlisle, Pa., Carolyn Martin of Colorado Springs, Colo., Sue Denny of Upland, Ind., and Janice McRoy of Crofton, Md. Mrs. Moeller also has 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother, Bob Shook, and sister, Carol Shook.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Thomas Moeller and grandson D.J. Reed.

Mrs. Moeller was a member of the Red Hat Society and the O.C. Senior Center.  She also loved crafts and baking.

A Mass took place May 15 at the Holy Savior Catholic Church in Ocean City. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Arlington Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Holy Savior Catholic Church in Ocean City.

Julian Bertine Williams

BERLIN — Julian Bertine Williams, age 88, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at his home.

Julian B. Williams

Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Julien B. Williams, Sr. and Anna Trotter Williams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Lansdown Williams in 2001. He is survived by his son, David Allan Williams of Berlin and Edgewater.

Mr. Williams had worked as a foreman for Bell Atlantic Telephone Company. He was an Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post #166 in Ocean City, the Elks Club Post #622 in Annapolis, and the American Legion Post #226 in Mayo, Md. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and the Washington Redskins.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Rev. Olin Shockley will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company Cadet Program, 1409 Philadelphia Ave., Ocean City, Md. 21842, or Ocean City Reef Foundation, P.O. Box 1072, Ocean City, Md. 21843.
