Worcester Youth, Family To Host Pirate Party Fundraiser May 19

BERLIN — Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services (WYFCS) will host the 9th Annual Pirate Party fundraiser to benefit the children of Worcester County on Friday, May 19, from 6-9 p.m., at Sunset Grille in West Ocean City (with a rain date of June 2).

Attendees are encouraged to join in the fun by coming dressed in their best pirate garb. This annual fundraiser, which is being co-chaired by Captains Joe Kendall of Kendall Furniture and Buddy Trala of Sunset Grille, is always a big hit with locals since it represents the kick-off party of the summer.

There will be two tiers of admission this year. A $20 donation at the door includes a light fare buffet, happy hour drink prices, live entertainment, raffles and an auction. A $49 donation adds two drinks, a T-shirt, and V.I.P. access to special areas of the event with butlered food service, including service aboard the Duckaneer Pirate Ship, docked at Sunset Grille.

This is WYFCS’s most popular annual event and all monies raised will support its youth programs. These programs have a huge impact on the lives of Worcester County’s most vulnerable residents, engaging them in healthy, structured, social activities and working with them in therapeutic environments to improve their lives.
