MAC Incorporated, the Area Agency on Aging, would like to thank all those who took part in our 2016 Adopt-a-Grandparent Program. Our clients had a wonderful Christmas due to your generosity.
We also want to thank Bruce and Jinya Bennett for coordinating this program. With their help, we were able to adopt 165 grandparents this year. Our clients responded with tears, smiles and child-like giggles when they received their gifts. Some tore into the gifts when they were delivered, others opted to wait until Christmas to open them. Many businesses, banks, schools and individuals stepped up to the plate and provided bags and boxes overflowing with gifts. Your generosity is overwhelming.
Special thanks also goes out to employees of Mountaire Farms, who adopted 53 seniors; and to the employees of The Daily Times and Johnny Janosik, who adopted 25 seniors each.
The true spirit of Christmas is alive on Delmarva and has filled the hearts of many deserving seniors.
