Decatur Volleyball Eliminated From States

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity volleyball team won its opening match in the state 3A-East Section II tournament, but fell in the second round and was eliminated.

The Seahawks had an up-and-down year, finishing with a 7-6 regular season record. After flip-flopping wins and losses early, Decatur did string together four straight wins down the stretch to finish 7-6. The Seahawks were the third seed in the 3A-East Section II tournament and blanked sixth-seeded Northeast in the opening round last Thursday.However, Decatur traveled to second-seeded Atholton on Monday for a second-round match and fell 3-0.
