WEST OCEAN CITY – Karen M. “Gale” Shannahan, age 69, of West Ocean City, passed away on July 14, 2016.

Born in Baltimore on Sept. 11, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Archer. She moved to Ocean City in the early 70’s and made many friends while working in the restaurant business for over 30 years.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kelly and Jennifer Carney; son, Norris (Ned) Shannahan, Jr.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her brother, R. C. Moss, Jr.

She is predeceased by her sister, Patricia Archer of Baltimore, and her aunt, Patricia Houston also of Baltimore.
