Three Locals Named Brine Lacrosse All-Americans

BERLIN- Providing further proof just how far the region has come in terms of lacrosse recognition, three local players of various ages this week were named to the prestigious Brine National All-American and All Star teams and will compete in a major national event in Richmond next month.

Lily Belle Baker, a rising junior at Stephen Decatur High School, has been named as a 2016 Brine National All-American and has been selected to represent Maryland at the 2016 Brine National Lacrosse Classic in Richmond. The Brine National Lacrosse Classic brings the top high school lacrosse players in the nation to one venue where regional teams compete to become national champions. The event puts players in front of college lacrosse coaches in a recruiting showcase.

Ellie Dutton of Bishopville, an eight-grader at Stephen Decatur Middle School has been named a 2016 Brine National All Star and has been selected to represent Maryland at the Brine National Lacrosse Academy and the Brine National Lacrosse Classic in Richmond on July 19-22. The academy brings the top youth lacrosse players in the country together where regional teams are coached by NCAA lacrosse coaches.

Griffin Jones, a sixth-grader at Most Blessed Sacrament School, has been named as a 2016 Brine National All Star and has been selected to represent Maryland in the 2016 Brine National Lacrosse Academy and the Brine National Lacrosse Classic.
