This issue’s cover girl was Miss Maryland-USA runner-up Colette Valette from Pasadena, Maryland. Valette, a student at Towson State College, enjoyed travel and disco.
Disco was a growing phenomenon in which, “a fantasy world turned into reality by advanced lighting techniques and modern sound equipment.” In response, three discos opened in Ocean City.
The newly remodeled English’s Family Restaurant advertised “great Eastern Sho’ cooking” and Delmarvalous fried chicken.”
Through Gibson Aviation Inc., travelers from the D.C area could fly in to Ocean City in about 50 minutes.
Every Tuesday night, The Crystal City Disco gave away a Las Vegas vacation, including gambling money, to the winners of its Disco Dance contest.
Casino Tours escorted vacationers to Atlantic City where they could experience legendary performers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, and Cher.
