BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity basketball team swept two games this week to run their winning streak to 10 games and remain on track for a potential Bayside South championship.
The Seahawks edged county rival Snow Hill, 71-66, in a fairly tight contest last Thursday, then routed Bennett, 77-28, on Tuesday. The win over the Clippers was the 10th straight for Decatur, who last lost a non-conference game during the Governor’s Challenge. The Seahawks remain tied with Pocomoke atop the Bayside South standings, with each team having beat the other on their home courts. Pocomoke still has Snow Hill to play, while Decatur has a date next week with Parkside. If both win out, the Bayside South could come down to a coin toss.
