BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity basketball team stayed on a big roll this week with a pair of wins over Bayside South rivals Parkside and Wicomico.
The Seahawks beat Parkside, 75-63, last Thursday in a big conference game. The Rams led 10-3 early and ended the first quarter with a three-point lead but Decatur went on a big roll through the second and took an 18-point lead into halftime. Keve Aluma led the way with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Torrey Brittingham also scored 16.
Against Wicomico on the road on Tuesday, the Seahawks got double-digit scoring from all over the roster in the 82-66 win over the Indians. Brittingham led all scorers with 23 points against his former team, while Ja’Quan Johnson scored 19, Ryan Beach scored 18 and Kevon Voyles added 13 to go along with 12 rebounds.
The Seahawks are scheduled to face Cambridge-South Dorchester on the road this afternoon, weather permitting, and the game time has been moved to 3:30 p.m. because of the pending storm. Decatur will take on conference-leading Pocomoke at home on Tuesday in a rematch of a 72-59 loss to the Warriors back on December 21.
