Long-Time Ocean City Employee Retires
Long Time

OCEAN CITY — Long-time Ocean City employee Carol Boyles officially retired this week after nearly three decades of public service to the resort.

Boyles, an Emergency Services Administrative Office Associate, retired on Tuesday after contributing 29 years of dedicated service to the town. Boyles’ employment with the town of Ocean City began in 1986 when she was hired in the town’s Water Department billing office.

From 1988 until 1999, after two years in the water department, Boyles worked in finance administration for the Town of Ocean City.  Shortly after, in November of 1999, Boyles began working for the Emergency Services Department where her responsibilities include various tasks for the department’s separate divisions.  She was critical in the organization and record keeping of many of the town’s emergency management functions, including the Crisis Emergency Response Team (CERT).

“Carol has always displayed a high level of professionalism and is a true team player,” commented Emergency Services Director Joe Theobald.  “A loyal employee, Carol was committed to the town of Ocean City and everyone whom she worked with, within both our organization and our community.”
