Worcester Harriers Off To Fast Start In Inaugural Season

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s fledgling cross country team continued its early success this week at a six-team meet at Wicomico with the boys finishing first and the girls coming in second.

In the first year of the program, the Mallards are already making their mark on the cross country scene across the shore. The Worcester boys finished first at their meet this week with 37 team points, while Wicomico High was second with 45, Pocomoke was third with 52 and Crisfield was fourth with 84. Worcester’s Carter Hill was first overall, followed by Braxton Clark of Wicomico and Myron Mason of Pocomoke.

Other top finishers for Worcester included Trent Marshall (4th), Connor Cebula (8th), Matthew Wilson (9th), Jack Walinskas (18th), Jay Podoval (23rd), Josh Willey (26th), Davis Taylor (27th), Jordan Welch (31st), Jaye Eniola (32nd), Biola Eniola (33rd) and Robert Foxwell (37th).

The Worcester girls finished second overall with 45 points, while Snow Hill was first with 30 points. Salisbury School was third with 62 and Pocomoke was fourth with 97. Top finishers for Worcester included Lillybelle Baker (3rd), Lauren Dykes (5th), Annemarie Cherry (7th), Sarah Koon (9th), Lauren Gosnear (27th), Olivia Parker (29th), and Sophia Principe (34th).
