BERLIN — A local boutique in Berlin inched closer to being eligible for a $100,000 Mission Main Street grant from Chase this week, but needs a little help from America’s “Coolest Small Town” to get over the hump.
Bruder Hill must submit a questionnaire outlining a business plan that will result in the growth of the business, but the boutique must also secure at least 250 votes from people in the community to secure the $100,000 grant, which is how the residents and visitors to Berlin can help.
Customers, fans and community members can vote and learn more at www.MissionMainStreetGrants.com The voting deadline is June 19, after which the grant recipients will be selected by expert panelists. As of Thursday morning, it had 140 votes.
“Receiving this grant would be an unbelievable opportunity for Bruder Hill,” said owner Shelly Bruder. “Your vote for Bruder Hill will help us better serve you as customers and our community. With this grant, we want to fix up the garage to be used as a shipping facility for our new website and a gathering place for local meetings.”
