Decatur Softball Team Falls To Warriors, 26-0

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s young varsity softball team took one on the chin in the season opener on Monday, falling to Mardela, 26-0, in a game shortened to five innings.

Mardela scored early and often against the Seahawks with two in the first and five in the second to jump out to a 7-0 lead. The Warriors kept pounding the ball relentlessly throughout the middle innings on their way to the shortened 26-0 win in the season opener for both teams. Meanwhile, three pitchers combined for a no-hitter against the Seahawks.
