Worcester Boys Split First Two Games

BERLIN- It was a see-saw start for the Worcester Prep boys’ varsity basketball team to start the season this week as the Mallards split their first two games of the 2014-2015 campaign.

Worcester beat Gunston handily on the road in the season opener last Wednesday, 62-16. Back in action at home on Monday, the Mallards fell to Chincoteague, 59-48. Against Chincoteague, Elio Telo led the Mallards with 17 points, while Tate Shockley added 14.

Worcester faces Greenwood on the road on Friday night. The Mallards will close out the first portion of the season with home games against St. Thomas More and Delmarva Christian next week. During the holiday break, Worcester will compete for the first time in the prestigious Governor’s Challenge in Salisbury on December 29-30.
