OCEAN CITY – The 5th Annual Ocean City Jeep Week, a fun-filled event for Jeep owners and lovers and Ocean City vacationers looking for family-friendly entertainment, will be held Aug. 21-24.

Jeep Week events not to miss are Jeep Week HQ at the Convention Center on Friday, Aug. 22, Jeep Jam in Berlin on Saturday, Aug. 23 and the beach crawls on Friday and Saturday morning, Aug. 22 and 23. Spectator day and weekend passes are available for $10-$15 and can be bought at all Jeep Week locations and online.

Spectators will need to wake up early for the first “can’t miss” event of Ocean City Jeep Week. Friday, Aug. 22 the beach crawl will begin at 8 a.m. Jeeps will start at 30th Street and drive to the Inlet. The parade will continue until all 250 Jeeps have made it off the beach into the Inlet parking lot. Jeep Week spectators will want to bring chairs and blankets to the beach for this event.

After the parade, spectators should head to the Ocean City Convention Center for Jeep Week HQ. This event has an indoor Jeep exhibit, a show and shine, a kids’ zone, an obstacle course, a live Jeep build and vendors.

On Saturday, Aug. 23, spectators will have another chance to watch 250 Jeeps parade down the beach in the morning. After the crawl, the fun moves to Berlin for Jeep Week’s signature event Jeep Jam. Set behind Jeep Week sponsor C.C. Customs, the Jeep Jam location features a major obstacle course, trail rides and scenic rides. There will be plenty of room around the course for spectators to pull up chairs and blankets to watch the Jeeps tackle the hills, trails, mud pits and crushed cars.

The Jeep Jam After Party begins at 5 p.m. with live music by local artists Blake Haley and Johnny Bling and a fireworks show set to start at 9:30 p.m. The Showell Volunteer Fire Department will be selling food and beer.

Event Director Rafael Correa believes Ocean City Jeep Week is a great end-of-summer treat for the entire family.

“From watching the beach crawls to cruising around Jeep Week HQ, this event has a lot of excitement and fun for the entire family,” said Correa. “Personally, I think Jeep Jam is one of the most exciting parts of the weekend. The site will have live music by popular Ocean City artists, the Showell Volunteer Fire Company is sponsoring food and beer for Jeep Week patrons to enjoy and we will have a kids’ zone set up with face paint, coloring and mini obstacle courses for a kids only Jeep Jam … it’s the perfect all-day family fun event.”
