OCEAN CITY — Some high profile members of the “Jackass” troupe caused a brief stir in Ocean City this week and were evicted from their Boardwalk hotel early Wednesday morning.

Around 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Ocean City Police responded to the Oceanview Grill at the Quality Inn at 16th Street in the Boardwalk for a report of two disorderly males who were disturbing other guests and refused to leave. The two men, including Brandon Novak, 35, of Baltimore, were intoxicated and created a disturbance at the busy restaurant and around the hotel pool area before being asked to leave.

Novak is a prominent member of the “Jackass” entourage and has appeared in several of the films and television shows and is known as the sidekick of more the more famous Bam Margera Novak has appeared in “Jackass Number 2,” “Jackass 3D,” “Viva La Bam,” “Bam’s Unholy Union,” “Jackass 3.5,” and “Haggard” along with other spinoffs from the popular films and series known for their outrageous stunts.

According to Ocean City Police, hotel staffers wanted to evict the group and asked for assistance from the OCPD. According to a reliable source, Novak and another unidentified member of the group climbed a fence into the hotel’s pool area armed with liquor bottles when they were confronted by hotel management. OCPD officers arrived and briefly spoke with the group before escorting Novak and the other individual through the hotel lobby and to their room in order to gather their belongings prior to the eviction.

According to the source, one of the two men was seen completely naked on the hotel room balcony above a crowded early morning Boardwalk before being evicted.

OCPD officers learned Novak was wanted on an outstanding warrant in Cecil County for failing to appear for a driving without a license case. Novak was taken into custody without incident and the other members of the group, including Margera, left the hotel without further incident. According to OCPD officials, Margera was not one of the two men causing a disturbance.

Later on Wednesday, Novak tweeted the picture of a note from another member of the group, apparently instructing him where to go when released. The tweet, posted under “This is what happens when you come to OC MD,” reads, “hey Novak, it’s rubbish. Meet me at the … pool bar. They told me it might be a few hours until you get out. I have your phone, so call your number. … Bam and everyone bailed, so I’m here solo.”
