Issue Highlights

This week’s “Resorter Girl” was Sandra Glee Miller (Jones).

An Editorial, “Pride In A Job,” read, “Perhaps the dullless, most unrewarding job in Ocean City is that of trash collector, and yet the men who perform this thankless task go about their business as proudly and efficiently as if there’s was the most envied job in this Maryland resort.”

Josie & Maria’s Restaurant & Lounge was operating two locations at this time — Philadelphia Ave. at 17th Street and on Caroline Street.

“Sophistication With Comfort” was the advertising slogan being used by the Eden Roc Motel on 20th Street and Baltimore Ave.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Kiser invited guests to the Roosevelt Hotel on the Boardwalk at Division Street.

An advertisement read, “Presenting Beach Club, Ocean City’s Favorite Meeting Spa.” Featured entertainment at the 9th Street establishment was The Honey Voshell Trio.
