Festival Planned For WWG’s Cause

BERLIN — Woman to Woman Global (WWG), a faith-based, non-profit organization that raises funds for scholarships and laptops for women, will be holding a festival fundraising event on April 5 in Ocean City.

Founded in Worcester County, WWG helps women in the USA and abroad achieve their life goals. Scholarships and laptops have been awarded in Worcester and Sussex counties as well as India and Jamaica. WWG also sponsors teachers to go overseas and train teachers how to identify learning disabilities and autism.

In order to support the Sasha Edwards Scholarship fund and Laptops for Ladies program, WWG sponsors a Bam Bam (Jamaican term for “festival”) in Ocean City each spring. This year, the 4th Annual Bam Bam will be at Seacrets on April 5 from 4-8 p.m. There will be silent, Chinese and live auctions.

The cost is $30 for adults and $15 for children 5-12 in advance ($50 at the door) and includes a buffet dinner, dessert and soft drinks. There is a cash bar available.

Tickets are available on line at www.wwglobal.org or you can call 410-251-8343.

Raffle tickets for an iPad Mini or golf for four at Glen Riddle Golf Course in Berlin are also available on the web site ($5 each or five for $20).

The WWG team meets bi-monthly in the Worcester or Sussex area and its members are from DC, Northern Virginia and all over the Delmarva peninsula.
