BERLIN- Signs of spring were everywhere this week including the local lacrosse fields, where the boys’ and girls’ varsity teams participated in their first scrimmages of the year on Monday.
Despite some obvious rust after the long winter and bad weather that kept them off the practice fields, all of the teams appeared to be pretty sharp for the first time out. For the record, the Decatur boys beat Worcester Prep, 15-5, while the Worcester Prep girls returned the favor and edged the Seahawks, 11-9.
