BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity wrestling team continued to steamroll through its late season schedule, thrashing James M. Bennett, 68-6, to remain unbeaten as they prepare for the state regional duals this weekend.
The Seahawks won 13 of 14 matches against the Clippers last week, including eight by pin. The win kept the Seahawks unbeaten on the season. Robert Kaminski won by pin at 106, Michael Tropkoff won by forfeit at 113, Andy McKahan won by pin at 120, T.J. Scafone won by technical fall at 126 and Nate Rosenblatt won by pin at 132.
Tyler Vansice kept the winning run intact with a decision at 138, Brandon McKenzie won by pin at 145, Nick Bennett won by pin at 152, Brett Kim won by decision at 160, Jared King won by pin at 170, Andrew Borradaile won by pin at 182, Caleb Massey won by pin at 220 and Ethan Eibl won by decision at 285.
