BERLIN- Two Stephen Decatur varsity wrestling senior standouts reached major milestones last week with both Nick Bennett and Andrew Borradaile collecting the 100th wins of their careers in a dual match against Cambridge-South Dorchester.
Bennett and Borradaile each entered last Wednesday’s dual meet with Cambridge-South Dorchester and Mardela to join the rather exclusive 100th win club at Decatur and an only somewhat larger fraternity of 100-win wrestlers across the state and each took care of business in short order.
Bennett collected his 100th win wrestling at 160 with a pin of Cambridge-South Dorchester’s Caleb Crain in 2:27. Bennett also beat Mardela’s Brandon Dill by technical fall on the same night. Borradaile got his 100th with an 8-2 decision over Cambridge-South Dorchester’s Rhyeem Johnson. Borradaile also pinned Mardela’s Collin Cropper on the same night. Both Borradaile and Bennett added to their growing win totals with victories in their respective matches during a meet with Kent County on Friday.
