Fourth Graders At Berlin Intermediate Donate Their Pennies In Order To Foster An Assateague Pony

Fourth graders at Berlin Intermediate School (pictured) have been actively involved throughout the summer and through the After School Academy with Assateague Island National Seashore. Fourth graders donated their pennies in a penny drive in order to foster an Assateague pony named Rosie, a 19-year-old mare. Students will continue to collect pennies throughout the year in order to help take care of Rosie.
