Mary Teresa and James M. Browne will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary next week.
The couple was married on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 1963 at S. Mary Star of the Sea Church in south Baltimore. They currently reside in Ocean Pines and will mark their anniversary this year on Thanksgiving Day as well.

Kevin Ettz, son of Susan Ettz of Whaleyville, was recently accepted into Phi Eta Sigma, the national freshman honor society at Salisbury University. Ettz is now a sophomore majoring in physics and engineering. He is a Dean’s List student.
