OCEAN CITY- The Making Strides 5K, part of the month-long series of pink ribbon breast cancer awareness events in and around the resort, is set for tomorrow, Saturday, October 19 on the Boardwalk.
Produced by OC Tri-Running and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, the annual event is set for tomorrow at the Inlet beginning at 9 a.m. As of mid-week, 67 teams and 553 participants had signed up for the event and had collectively raised over $123,000 in donations.
Advanced registration for the 5K run closed this week, but advanced registration for the 5K walk is open until midnight tonight. Race day registration is available tomorrow morning before the event with a $35 fee for the walk and a $40 fee for the run. For more information, contact Beverly Furst at (410) 749-1624.
