Worcester County Hires First Social Media Guru
Worcester

BERLIN — The Worcester County Commissioners announced this month that Mark Huey has been hired as the new social media coordinator within Worcester County Tourism.
Huey is a professional photographer and graphic designer who brings diverse technological and visual communication skills to this new position. He has a sound understanding of how the public, both individually and collectively, engages social media and how this interaction can influence the daily decisions they make.
“I encourage locals and visitors, businesses and organizations alike to interact with us on the social networks,” Huey said. “People everywhere can let us know when they host an event or make a unique discovery. Maybe it’s as simple as witnessing an early morning beach sunrise or as majestic as spotting an eagle during your kayak paddle along the Pocomoke River.”
Add the hashtag #TourWorCo to your postings on any social media network to let Huey and others know about your weird, fun, cool, exciting and new discoveries anywhere in Worcester.
Local visitors and residents will find Huey out and about discovering and reporting on tourism and travel happenings throughout the county. They can keep track of his whereabouts by visiting him online at Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, each with the handles @beachandbeyond, along with YouTube, Pinterest, and at www.visitworcester.org.
