BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity lacrosse team got back on the winning track this week, routing host North Caroline, 14-3, on Monday to improve to 4-4 on the season.
After taking a tough loss to Queen Anne’s at home last Wednesday in a battle of Bayside heavyweights, the Seahawks took out a little frustration on North Caroline on the road in Monday with a 14-3 win. With a tough stretch of its schedule now behind it, the Seahawks should start to make some hay on the backstretch of the season with only one team left with a winning record.
The Seahawks only conference losses came to Bayside North powers Kent Island, 10-7, and Queen Anne’s last week, 15-9. Decatur plays Easton at home this afternoon and another Bayside North team, Cambridge-South Dorchester, next Wednesday. Only Cambridge-South Dorchester has a winning record. Decatur will close out the regular season with rematches against Bayside South rivals Parkside, Bennett and Wicomico.
