BERLIN- After a see-saw start to the season following a pattern of win one, lose one, Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity lacrosse team strung together two victories in a row this week with a couple of routs over Bennett and Wicomico.
Decatur started the season with an 18-8 win over rival Parkside, followed by a 10-7 loss to Kent Island. The Seahawks then beat Century, 6-3, in the South River Tournament, followed by a 12-8 loss to St. Mary’s Ryken in the same event.
Decatur broke the string with a 10-2 win over Bennett last week, followed by a 15-0 pasting of Wicomico on Monday on the road. The Seahawks began a tough stretch of their schedule this week with Queen Anne’s on Wednesday and North Caroline on the road this afternoon. Next week, the Seahawks will face Kent County on the road on Wednesday, followed by a home game against Easton next Friday.
