Credential Earned

SALISBURY — Regina Kundell of Peninsula Regional Endocrinology in Salisbury has earned the Board Certified – Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) credential from the American Association of Diabetes Educators.

The BC-ADM credential is conferred only to currently licensed health care providers who have passed a rigorous exam. They must hold advanced degrees in a relevant specialty and have completed a minimum of 500 clinical practice hours in advanced diabetes management. Those who hold the BC-ADM credential follow the scope of advanced diabetes practice, which includes patient management skills such as medication adjustment, medical nutrition therapy, exercise planning, counseling for behavior management and psychosocial issues. The depth of knowledge and competence in advanced clinical practice and diabetes skills affords an increased complexity of decision making which expands the traditional discipline specific practice.

Partnership Announced

BERLIN — Sharp Energy, a subsidiary of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation, has announced it has joined with Beazer Homes to bring propane gas service to its newest development, Bishop’s Landing, located in Millville, Del.

Sharp Energy’s Community Gas Systems™ will bring the comfort, reliability and convenience of propane gas to the residents of Bishop’s Landing, a 449-unit residential community located minutes from Bethany Beach. The CGS makes it possible to serve a community such as Bishop’s Landing by distributing propane through a network of underground gas mains from a central storage facility, similar to natural gas service. Each home will have a meter to measure their individual propane use.

“We have enjoyed a great working relationship with Beazer and their land development team for some time,” said Bob Zola, President of Sharp Energy. “These are the types of projects Sharp Energy specializes in and we look forward to other projects with Beazer as the Delaware beach area continues to develop.”

Ed Gold, Division President at Beazer Homes, said, “It means so much to know that our customers will be cared for by a company that shares our environmental commitment and dedication to excellent customer service.”
