Top Agents Announced

OCEAN CITY — The Mark Fritschle Group of Condominium Realty, LTD recently announced at its December sales meeting the company’s sales, settlement and listing leaders for November.

J. F. Cropper was both the top listing agent in the number of new listings and the top listing agent in volume. Sheri Smith was the top new sales pending agent. Kim McCabe was the top settled agent both by dollar volume and number of units settled.

Additionally at the meeting, guest speaker Kenny Tyler, a local CPA, gave an update on new legislation and tax law changes that may affect the real estate market in 2013.

Accreditation Earned

SALISBURY — Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) in Salisbury has again been granted accreditation by American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) for transfusion activities and services. Peninsula Regional has been continuously accredited by the AABB since 1960.

Accreditation follows an intensive on-site assessment by specially trained AABB assessors and establishes the level of technical and administrative performance within PRMC meets or exceeds the standards set by the organization. By successfully meeting those requirements, Peninsula Regional joins similar facilities across the United States and abroad that have also earned AABB accreditation.

“We have continued to seek AABB accreditation for the past five decades because this program assists us by promoting a level of professional and technical expertise that contributes to quality performance and patient safety," said Michael Wagner, MD, Medical Director of Transfusion Services at PRMC. “We are pleased to have had zero non-conformances identified during the most recent bi-annual inspection. This really is a tribute to the hard work done by Pamela Channell, our transfusion services supervisor, and the entire blood bank staff.”

Thus far in 2012, Peninsula Regional transfused 8,105 units of blood products to 4,216 patients. PRMC’s success in the reaccreditation process was a team effort, as the laboratory, blood bank, physicians, nursing personnel and others were all key contributors.
