BERLIN — Berlin’s best kept secret won’t be a secret for long if several businesses get to fill their hearts’ desire this June.
Berlin’s best kept secret is that it won’t be long before couples who “Say I Do” begin living happily ever after with a one-of-a-kind Berlin wedding.
For several weeks, businesses from Berlin and the surrounding area have been collaborating on how to best make Berlin a wedding destination for the mid-Atlantic region.
“We thought what better place to have a memorable and tasteful wedding, then here in historic and beautiful Berlin,” said Angela Reynolds, who is chairing the effort.
The historical and picturesque ambiance of Berlin is a perfect setting for all types of weddings, according to Jen Davis of Bustle, a new bridal boutique on Main Street that will officially open June 8.
“Berlin should easily become a special place for blushing brides and gallant grooms, all within a backdrop of charm, character and class,” said Davis, who is not only about to open up her business in Berlin but is also a town resident.
The first proposal for this new destination attraction for the town will be the unveiling of a “Wedding, Arts and Culinary Stroll” on Friday, June 8 in downtown Berlin as a special theme for the traditional Second Friday Arts Stroll held that evening.
Every participating business will be showcasing their special wedding offerings with displays, which will be featured as an art form in creative design for Berlin’s June art stroll.
Types of local businesses already committed to participating in this inaugural wedding stroll weekend include the bridal boutique, unique gift shops, bakeries, wedding planners, florists, photographers, jewelers, hotels, restaurants and much more.
As the name suggests, there will be lots of information and ideas for planning a memorable wedding in Berlin accompanied with a wedding basket of great gifts for one special person to take home and some tasty treats, all wrapped up in Berlin’s now well-known artistic flair.
Any local business that is interested in learning more about becoming part of “Say I Do” in Berlin should contact Kristen Basmajian or Reynolds at 410-641-3589.
