BERLIN — The 17th Annual Berlin Spring Celebration, sponsored by the Berlin Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Saturday, April 7.
Schedule of events include a Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Rayne’s Reef. Seatings available are 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Cost is $6 for children and $8 for adults. Call 410-641-4775 for reservations. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos. Following breakfast, the Worcester County Arts Council, 4-H Club and Berlin Parks and Recreation will be offering activities for children.
Hop down to the Taylor House Museum for the Eggstravaganza Hunt at 11 a.m. for children ages 2 to 10. After the Egg Hunt, stroll down Main Street, wander through the stores and visit the artists on the street. A variety of food vendors will be available including kettle corn, cotton candy and fudge puppies.
Throughout the day, there will be face painting, horse and carriage rides through town, bunny hop dancing by Seaside Dance Academy and amusement rides by Jolly Roger. From noon-3 p.m., pony rides will be provided by Endeavor Farms.
At 1 p.m., head down to the Atlantic Hotel porch to bid on a variety of gift baskets donated by community businesses, while being entertained by local musician Troy Mawyer.
Do you love sweets? Then you won’t want to miss the Mini Cupcake Eating Contest at 2 p.m. sponsored by Cupcakes in Bloom. Register at Cupcakes in Bloom at 124 N. Main Street the day of the event.
At 3 p.m., join us for the 2nd Annual Grand Finale Easter Bonnet & Mad Hatter parade. Sponsored by Barrett Chevrolet, craft your own creation at home and show it off as you walk down Main Street for a chance to win cutest, most original or Berlin Green (a bonnet made out of recycled material). Winners receive a $50 gift card. Registration is $2. All participants must register the day of the event between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the chamber tent.
