Art League Relocates

OCEAN CITY — It will be business as usual as the Art League of Ocean City moves into its new temporary digs at the former Susquehanna Bank building on 94th Street.

The Art League of Ocean City is moving from its long time location on 94th Street to a temporary location just up the street in the old Susquehanna bank building. It’s the building with the blue roof near the entrance to the Super Fresh parking lot. The league will be there until construction is complete on the new arts center. Meanwhile, the annual Optimist high school art show will be held Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 20-21, from 1-4 p.m. each day.

“We are so pleased to have this event mark the opening to the public of our temporary home,” said Art League President Margaret Spurlock.

Funding is in place to construct the new building on the site of the old building. However, fundraising continues for the fixtures, furniture and equipment. Anyone who would like to contribute their time, talents or gifts should contact Rina Thaler at 410-726-7768 or Pete Gibson at 410-600-0055.
