Campground Honored

BERLIN — Frontier Town Campground has been named one of the "Top 10 Favorite Parks in North America", an honor that was determined by guests as part of Woodalls "Vote for Your Favorite Campground Sweepstakes".

Woodalls, producer of the most comprehensive and reliable campground directories available, announced award winners during the National Association of RV Parks and Campground’s annual convention held in Savannah, Ga.

"This is a huge honor for Frontier Town," said owner Mitch Parker. "The fact that our campers voted and earned us this award — that’s a great feeling.”

Additionally, Frontier Town has earned Woodalls’ coveted "5W Rating" valuing it as the industry’s long running standard and most respected rating system. The unbiased rating system allows RVers and campers to search and find the top-rated 5W RV parks and campgrounds that meet their travel needs. Campers can identify parks by their 1W to 5W ratings for both park facilities and recreation. The more W’s in a rating reflects the presence of more developments and facilities available at the park. Further, the maintenance of the campground heavily weighs in all park 5W ratings.
"Frontier Town’s staff is the reason for our success," said Parker. "None of this would be possible without our General Manager Harold "Deck" Decker, and our Maintenance Manager Dean Potteiger. It’s an honor to have them working here."

Frontier Town is a camping resort situated along the Sinepuxent Bay and features over 500 spacious campsites from primitive to luxury 45-foot motor homes, deluxe rental trailer and camping cabins.

Office Coat Drive Begins

OCEAN CITY – The 120th Street office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is holding its fourth annual coat drive through Jan. 31, 2012. New or used coats can be dropped off daily, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., at 12003 Coastal Highway, and will be distributed to local shelters.

“Last year we collected 1,200 coats and we are confident we can exceed that total this year,” said coat drive coordinator Sheila Hodges. “We are also collecting blankets, scarves, gloves, hats and anything else warm.”

Additionally, the office is collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items that will be delivered to Diakonia, Inc., a private, non-profit organization that provides meals and shelter for less-fortunate men, women and families.

“Winter is right around the corner, so now is the time to go through your closets and find old coats, hats, mittens and any other warm weather gear to give to the less fortunate,” said Hodges. “A donation to our drive is the best gift you could give this holiday season.”

For more information or to schedule a pick-up of items to be donated, call Hodges at 301-775-1968 or email [email protected].
