New OC Airport Manager Named

OCEAN CITY – The resort announced this week a new airport manager, Jaime Giandomenico, will be making his way to Ocean City and begin his duties Aug. 29.

Giandomenico currently resides in Annapolis and since 2007 has been the manager of the Queen Anne’s County Bay Bridge Airport in Stevensville.

“I have enjoyed visiting the Town of Ocean City with my family for many years, and I am looking forward to becoming a permanent resident and member of the community," he said.

Giandomenico’s sturdy resume includes an Aviation Systems Planning Officer at the Maryland Aviation Administration for seven years, a three-year term as president of the Maryland Airport Manager’s Association, and he holds a FAA Airmen Certificate with Private Pilot, Airframe and Power Plant, and Inspection Authorization Privileges. He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a minor in history from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Emmitsburg.

“Mr. Giandomenico’s historical background of employment with the Maryland Aviation Administration, coupled with his recent employment as the Airport Manager at the Bay Bridge Airport, provides an excellent foundation of hands-on experience that the Ocean City Municipal Airport was searching for,” Ocean City Public Works Director Hal Adkins said.
