Ocean City Golf Club Announces Hire

BERLIN- The Ocean City Golf Club this week announced the hiring of Mike Salvio as the new golf course superintendent.

Salvio, a certified golf course superintendent, the highest designation in the business, comes to the venerable old Ocean City Golf Club in South Point from similar previous experiences at Glen Riddle and Nutter’s Crossing. According to Ocean City Golf Club general manager Buddy Sass, Salvio has a reputation for being able to “stretch a dollar” while producing outstanding golf course conditions.

Salvio lives in Pittsville with his wife, Colleen, and has an adult daughter, Karly. He is expected to begin work at the course next week on March 8.
