Kathy Gorrera
OCEAN CITY – Kathy Gorrera, a long-time member of the Coins Pub and Restaurant family, died on Jan. 12, 2010.
Services will be held at McComas Funeral Home, 50 West Broadway, Bel Air, Md. 21014. Viewings will be held on Sunday, Jan. 17 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be on Monday, Jan 18 at McComas Funeral Home at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest afterwards at Bel Air Memorial Gardens
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for Kathy’s Memorial Bench on the Ocean City Boardwalk. See Charlotte Kuti for more information. There will be a memorial service in Ocean City to be announced at a later date and an unveiling of her Boardwalk Bench.
Margaret Ann Ketterman
CAMPBELLTOWN – Margaret Ann "Sue" Ketterman Robinson, 65 died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin.
Born in Berlin she was the daughter of the late Adam Ketterman and Katherine Adams Ketterman. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond I. Robinson, Sr. in 2001.
She is survived by her son, Raymond I. Robinson, Jr. and his wife Carolyn; two grandchildren, who were the loves of her life, Amber Nicole and Eric Raymond Robinson all of Campbelltown; two brothers, John Ketterman of Whiton and Allen J. Ketterman of Westover; a special niece, Judy Bosche; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Ketterman and Richard Walter Ketterman, and a sister, Patsy Jane Daye.
She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Hazel Robinson; sisters-in-law, Joan Davis and her husband Ron and Margaret Hammond and her husband Harry; and a brother-in-law, Gary Robinson and his wife Sharon. She is also survived by special friend Eva Lee Lynch.
She was a graduate of Stephen Decatur High School Class of 1962. She had worked as a cafeteria manager at Buckingham Elementary School for many years. She was an avid harness racing enthusiast.

Josephine C. Bucks
OCEAN CITY – Josephine C. Bucks, age 80, died on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Carrie Brown. She is survived by her husband, John F. Bucks; a daughter, Patricia C. Vogelsang and her husband Robert; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Services and interment are private. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
Virginia Lee Birch
BERLIN – Virginia Lee Birch, 59, died on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010 at her home in Berlin.
Born in Ocean City, she was the daughter of the late Granville "Cockey" Adams and Doris Marian Taylor Adams.
She had worked in housekeeping with the Oceanic Motel. She was a member
of Sonrise Church in Berlin.
She is survived by two sons, Sammy Adams and his wife Karen of Powellville and George Birch and his wife Meredith of Willards; two daughters, Jacqueline Haggerty and her husband Jeffrey and Stephania Birch, all of Berlin; two brothers, Granville Adams of Prestonand Frank Adams; one sister, Lucy Adams of Berlin; and six grandchildren, Jeremy Dotson, Mark Haggerty, Brianna Haggerty, Jonathon Adams, Demi Lambertson and Marissa Birch.
Services were held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 West 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, Del. 19801.
Mary Cecelia Howes Dull
OCEAN PINES – Mary Cecelia Howes Dull, 75, passed quietly on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 at her home in Ocean Pines with her family by her side.
She was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary Howes.
Dull had worked as a secretary in the Montgomery County School System and went by the nickname "Cesey", a take on her middle name, Cecelia. After retiring, she moved to Ocean City to be close to her grandchildren. She loved cooking and was the best cook in the world and put a lot of love into her dishes. As an avid Redskins fan every Sunday was the football game and "mom-mom’s fried chicken." Neighbors, family and friends would stop by for the game and her great fried chicken. She was also an animal lover and met most all of the neighbors in Ocean Pines by giving out doggie treats and water as they passed by. All the dogs knew her house and that a treat and some loving pets eagerly awaited them.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving aunt, Elsie Travers, who raised her from the age of 5 years old when Mary’s mother died.
Also preceeding her in death were her brother, Daniel Howes, a special son-in-law, Douglas Detty; and her beloved husband John Reed Dull, Jr. She is survived by her two daughters, Sherie L. Detty and Peggy A. Jorgensen and her better half Gar Marcel. The joy and light of her life was her two grandchildren, Diana A. Detty and Jared N. Detty. She loved bragging about their travels and accomplishments. They also share her love for cooking.
Services were held.
Walter A. Kerrick, Jr.
BERLIN – Walter A. Kerrick, Jr., 87, died on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 at Catered Living in Ocean Pines.
Born in Pekin, Ill., he was the son of the late Walter A. Kerrick, Sr. and Leona Bach Kerrick.
Kerrick was a U.S. Navy veteran. He had worked as a Technical Engineer with WTOP in Washington DC. He was a Mason and a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. In his early days, he enjoyed playing the clarinet and saxophone.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Kerrick; four sons, James Kerrick and his wife Gloria, William Kerrick and his wife Karen, Robert Kerrick and his wife Sue and John Kerrick and his wife Diane; one daughter, Susan Suchan and her husband Gregory; a sister, Lois Thies; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Amy, Bucky, Sarah, Christine, Jessica and Matthew; and one great granddaughter.
Services were held.
