BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s boys’ varsity soccer team remained unbeaten this week, thrashing old rival Salisbury School, 4-0, on Tuesday to improve to 3-0 on the season.

The Mallards have average four goals per game in their first three matches of the year while yielding just one goal thus far. Back on August 28, Worcester cruised in its opener, beating Holly Grove, 3-0. Last week, the Mallards hit the road for a game against Gunston and prevailed, 5-1, for another solid win featuring a balanced offensive attack and a stingy defense.

On Tuesday, Worcester faced old rival Salisbury School in an early season battle of ESIAC heavyweights and blanked the Dragons, 4-0. Matt Carey led the Mallards with two goals, while Andrew Ternahan and Jon Powell added single tallies. Duncan McIntosh, Hunter Marshall and Chase Powell each added assists, while Alex Ternahan had five saves in the goal for Worcester
