Linda Lee Borge

BERLIN – Linda Lee Borge, 68, of Berlin, passed away on Aug. 27, 2009 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

She was born on April 23, 1941, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to the late Charlene Warren and Merle Cole. She was a friend to many in the local area.

Before moving to the area, her and respected husband Robert Borge traveled to the Eastern Shore area with longtime friends Frank and Cheryl Rinehart. In Ocean City, they together made lifelong friendships at local businesses such as Lombardi’s, The Embers, The Bonfire and Wolfies before establishing their partnered business Duffy’s Tavern with friends Don and Sissy Ciancuilli. The couple felt blessed to be surrounded by a great circle of friends in the community and in business.

She enjoyed laughter of all kinds, singing karaoke, fine dining, Keno and shopping. She was a humanitarian of sorts who took pride in helping others. She was also a member of the local Elks club in Ocean City.

She was the adored wife of Robert Bruce Borge; cherished mother of Paris and Brandace Borge; stepson Wes Johnson; and loving grandmother to grandchildren Kayden Lee and Corrine Diana.

In addition to her late husband, her beloved brother Gary Cole preceded her in death. She had long awaited her reunion with her savior, family, and most of all her husband and love of her life.

A memorial will be held in her remembrance at Alex’s Fine Dining in West Ocean City on Sept. 15 from noon-3 p.m. Everyone who knew and loved her are welcome to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers contributions to help with funeral expenses may be sent to 313 North Main St., Berlin, Md. 21811.
