Virginia Lee Brittingham Dennis
BERLIN – Virginia Lee Brittingham Dennis, age 91, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin.
Born in Powellville she was the daughter of the late Grover Gorman Brittingham, Sr. and Dollie Rayne Brittingham. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Aubrey "Tooky" Curtis Dennis, Jr.
Dennis was a graduate of Paynters Business School. She had been the co-owner and operator with her husband of Dennis Beer Wholesalers in Berlin. She attended Buckingham Presbyterian Church in Berlin and was an avid bridge player having played on various bridge clubs. Family was her life, daughter, son-in-law, grand and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Dennis Pylypczuk and her husband Joe of Berlin; four grandchildren, Cecil Franklin Tull, III and his wife Dana of Berlin, Denise Tull Noe of St. Augustine, Fla., Christy Ellen Pylypczuk of Alexandria, Va. and Jason Joe Pylypczuk of Ocean Pines; seven great grandchildren, Brittany and Claire Wheaton, Cameron and Aubrey Tull, Mallory, Noelle and Ally Rayne; one brother, Gorman Brittingham, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Dryden Brittingham of Powellville; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. at Buckingham Presbyterian Church in Berlin. Rev. Gary Baer will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Berlin. Roger N. Sexauer
BISHOPVILLE – Roger N. Sexauer, 73, of Bishopville, and formerly of Port Washington, N.Y., died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at home.
He was born in Flushing, N.Y. He was the founder and owner of Roger Sexauer & Sons in Selbyville. He was a member of the Ocean City Elks Club, a Life Member of the NRA, a Mason and a former member of the Berlin Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Karlene G. Sexauer of Bishopville; three sons, Roger N. Sexauer II of Arnold, Md., and Kurt E. and Rolf E. Sexauer, both of Dagsboro; two brothers, Robert Sexauer of Nassawadox and Donald Sexauer of Hollywood, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life from noon-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27 at his residence at 12544 Collins Road in Bishopville.

Katharina Cecelia Groth
OCEAN PINES – Katharina Cecelia Groth, 99, of Ocean Pines died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008 at Catered Living of Ocean Pines.
Born in New York City she was the daughter of the late Otto Rapp and Katherine Knierieman Rapp.
She is survived by two sons, George Groth and his wife Ginny of Ocean Pines and Carl Groth and his wife Mary of Huntersville, NC; one sister, Christina Folde of Tampa, Fla.; four grandchildren, Katharina Groth, Suzie Groth, Mark Groth and Davis Groth; one great grandchild, Davis Groth, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Jerri Harrison, 337 Winter Quarters Dr., Pocomoke City, Md. 21851. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
Daleen Amelia Burns
BALTIMORE – Daleen Amelia Burns, 58, of Ocean City and previously Glen Burnie, died at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore on Dec. 5, 2008.
Born in Baltimore, she graduated from Brooklyn Park High School and was a retired employee of the State of Maryland.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Michael Burns; daughter, Wendy Burns; grandchildren, April and Kevin; sister, Karen Albers-Hall of Baltimore; mother, Eleanor Holmgren of Ocean City; and a niece, Kimberly Albers of Ocean City.
Services will be private.
Betty Mae Miles Mulligan
SNOW HILL – Betty Mae Miles Mulligan, age 83, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 at the Snow Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Albion, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Howard Homer Miles and Anna Pullen Miles.
Mulligan had been a judicial secretary in Worcester County and had been a secretary at Snow Hill Elementary School.
She is survived by a son, Michael Thomas Mulligan and his wife Donna Jean of Snow Hill; a daughter, Patricia Lobar and her husband Bruce of Boerne, Texas; four grandchildren, Bryan and Sean Lobar and Timothy and Katie Mulligan; and
a sister-in-law, Florence Miles of New York.
Cremation followed her death. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Mt. Albion Cemetery in Albion, N.Y. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Snow Hill.
