FCC Grants License
BERLIN – Firepro Inc. of West Ocean City has been granted a license by the Federal Communications Commission to construct and operate a wireless mesh, long-range radio system for monitoring intrusion, fire and industrial alarms across the Eastern Shore. The system will be capable of two-way communications so that its central station will be able to receive signals as well as provide remote control of equipment installed out in the field.
“We only wanted to bring the best system to the Eastern Shore,” said Firepro President Donald Westbrook. “And it took us several years before we found the right one in AES-Intellinet.”
The system is the only wireless system to provide monitoring of all types of systems, including fire alarms panels, without the need for any telephone lines. The system is a wireless mesh, long-range radio system engineered in such a way that it is self-healing and self-routing.
