Personnel Changes

BERLIN – State’s Attorney Joel J. Todd has announced the recent promotions/new hires for the Circuit and District Court Division’s for the State’s Attorney’s Office.

In the Circuit Court Office, Jennifer M. Rothschild was recently promoted from Assistant State’s Attorney to Deputy State’s Attorney. Paul T. Haskell was hired to fill the position of Assistant State’s Attorney created by Rothschild’s promotion.

In the District Court Office, Michael W. Farlow was recently promoted from Assistant State’s Attorney to Deputy State’s Attorney. Erin M. McCormack was hired to fill the position as Assistant State’s Attorney created by Farlow’s promotion.

Rothschild graduated Cum Laude from Emmanuel College, Boston Massachusetts, 1993, (B.A.) University of Baltimore School of Law, 1996, (J.D.) and Summa Cum Laude from Salisbury University 1998, (M. Ed).

Farlow is a graduate of Salisbury University in 1998, (B.A.), Widener University School of Law and Graduate Institute of International Studies, 1999, and Cum Laude from Widener University School of Law in 2001. Farlow is a native of Pittsville, member of the Pittsville Volunteer Fire and president of the Wicomico County Democratic Club, American Bar Association, Maryland Bar Association, Worcester and Wicomico County Bar Associations.

Haskell graduated Cum Laude from Mary Washington College in 1989, (B.A.), St. Louis University in 1992, (M.A) and Washington University, St. Louis 1994, (J.D.). Haskell was an associate of Williams, Moore, Shockley & Harrison, prior to being hired by the Office of the State’s Attorney. He is a member of the Maryland State and Worcester County Bar Associations.

McCormack graduated from Towson University in 1999, (B.A.), and the University of Baltimore School of Law, in 2005, (J.D.). McCormack was a Law Clerk for the Honorable Theodore R. Eschenburg and Thomas C. Groton, III in the Worcester County Circuit Court of Maryland, prior to being hired by the Office of the State’s Attorney.

New Office Opens

BETHANY BEACH – ResortQuest Real Estate’s latest Bethany Beach office is now open.

Located in Lem Hickman’s Beach Plaza East, between Route 1 and Pennsylvania Avenue, across from Sea Colony’s oceanfront, the new office is home to the company’s real estate sales staff and its vacation rental check-in operations.

"We’re honored by the reception our new office, and the recently released concept drawing of our permanent building, has received from the resort business community, our clients and our staff. The company will occupy these temporary offices on the site until the permanent facility is completed in late spring 2008. A concept drawing for the new building is on display in the Hickman Beach Plaza East office.

Studio Announces Participation

BERLIN — Sumatis Om Studio of Yoga and Wellness in Berlin is pleased to announce its participation in the Life Goes Om Community Project for those afflicted with cancer.

New PRMC Affiliation

SALISBURY – Peninsula Regional Medical Center has entered into an affiliation agreement with Associates in Radiation Medicine (ARM) to provide professional services for the Radiation Oncology division of its Peninsula Cancer Center. The agreement, effective July 1, gives ARM the opportunity to provide physicians, medical direction, and technical services to the Radiation Oncology department at the Medical Center.

ARM is a recognized physician group practice leader in Radiation Oncology services who has similar affiliations with fourteen Maryland and Washington, D.C. hospitals. This new strategic partnership will complement Peninsula Regional’s long-standing history of providing quality physician and clinical care to patients in our region.

“This decision followed many months of planning and careful consideration by our Peninsula Cancer Center and Medical Staff leadership along with the administration of the Medical Center,” said Alan Newberry, president/CEO of the Peninsula Regional Health System. “ARM has a reputation for leadership, quality care, innovation and growth in the field of Radiation Oncology. Their expertise, reputation and commitment to helping us further develop our comprehensive Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute at Peninsula Regional is a natural progression in the ongoing vision of our organization to provide more coordinated and cohesive cancer care among our multi-disciplinary team of cancer specialists.”

As part of the agreement, Associates in Radiation Medicine Radiation Oncologists Matthew L. Snyder, MD, James Donald Bridges, MD, Sheela Modin, MD, and Heather M. Lee, MD will be providing Radiation Oncology services beginning July 1, 2007. This team currently has hospital affiliations in Maryland with Holy Cross Hospital, Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Calvert Memorial Hospital, Civista Health and Medical Center, Saint Mary’s Hospital, and Doctors Community Hospital. ARM also has privileges at eight other Maryland hospitals.
