OC Sons Of Italy, Lodge 2474, Awards Scholarships

Each year, the Ocean City Sons of Italy, Lodge 2474, awards three scholarships to students graduating from local high schools who have some Italian heritage. This year's recipients are Alexandra H. Birckette of Stephen Decatur High School, Abigail Rebecca Brown of Indian River High School and Heather Michelle Nicolle of Stephen Decatur High School. SD Middle School Students Receive Rising Star Awards Durning Honors Ceremony

Stephen Decatur Middle School students recently received Rising Star Awards during the Honors Ceremony at the school. The award recognizes students who have participated in voluntary service activities for their school and local community organizations. OC Lions Club Presents $1,500 Check To Peer Mediation Program

Chesapeake College And SU Hold Spring Commencement Ceremony Together

When Salisbury University conferred degrees during its Spring Commencement ceremony at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center, it became a celebration for students from two campuses. Students from SU’s Elementary Education Cohort Program accepted their diplomas along with traditional graduates during the ceremony. All 10 graduates in the program previously completed the program at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills.
